Helium V

Helium V is an open source Enterprise Resource Planning software solution (ERP ) system for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Ensure the interlocking modules that knowledge about customers, suppliers, and especially about the products ( manufacturing processes as well as merchandise) is recorded only once in the system and transparent. It is constantly positive and negative deviations apparent to and can be controlled and corrected by the management. In this context, the evaluation of operational metrics and KPIs an important point in the development dar. In 2011, a financial accounting system and a maintenance module has been implemented.

Helium V is part of the open source stacks the Open Source Business Alliance and is offered as part of the German cloud as SaaS and is placed under free license since October 2010.

Architecture

The system was developed based on a J2EE architecture, it is platform independent and built in a scalable three-layer architecture.

Through the use of Java technology is the standalone Java client of the ERP cross-platform (Linux, Mac OS X, Windows). This allows the connection of different devices such as PCs, mobile devices and third party products.

The system also provides an application server, which contains the actual business logic. The whole is a central SQL database based. Helium V supports default PostgreSQL, on request, Oracle and MS- SQL as database.

Modules

The software is modular and consists of the main modules of purchasing, production, sales, inventory management, financial accounting, maintenance and time recording. In graphically Pictured Spec ( image ) of helium V can be seen that a complete business cycle of an average SME is shown in the solution. The individual modules and their sub- functions according to needs and requirements of the customers individually configurable and can be customized.

Helium V is designed for both pure trading companies as well as for single, series and contract manufacturers. It is also present in the practice of the mixing company types are supported.
