Duel at the wheel (AKA: Hell Drivers) is a British film director Cy Endfield drama of the 1957 The film was produced by the Rank Organisation and Aqua Film Productions. . In the leading roles are played by Stanley Baker, Herbert Lom, Peggy Cummins and Patrick McGoohan.

Action

Joe 'Tom' Yateley is an ex- convict. In an attempt to leave his past behind, he decides to work for the Hawlett Trucking company, which transports gravel. Red, the best because unscrupulous drivers and Cartley, the manager, have five fictional drivers on the payroll are. Production Notes

The final scene, in which one drives the car over the edge of a quarry, was reused by the Rank Organisation in the episode " The Heiress " of the TV series Interpol Calling.

DVD

A simple and a double DVD of Hell Drivers was the 50th anniversary of this classic British film released with all-star cast in 2007 with many extras, including documentaries, but only with the English original. A German DVD version there is of it until today, although the film in Germany had on November 29, 1957 its premiere in the cinema and has been often shown on television.
