Earl St. John

Earl St. John ( born June 14, 1892 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, † February 26, 1968 in Torremolinos, Spain ) was an American film producer, who was standing organization for over 100 film productions of the British rank between years 1950-1964.

Life and work

Earl St. John, born in 1892 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was in charge for the productions of the British film company Rank Organisation at Pinewood Studios from 1950 to 1964.

Earl St. John was executive producer in the studios of the Rank Organisation under the strict supervision of CEO John Davis and his autocratic control. Under his formal Regide were too cost intensive filming and productions also cut back ever comment, because no film was allowed to exceed a budget of £ 150,000. Nevertheless created a number of important and successful productions including Pinewood Being Earnest, The fiery Isabella, flames over the Far East, Doctor Ahoy!, Duel at the wheel, one came through, The last night of Titanic and The 39 Steps.

On February 26, 1968 St. John died at the age of 75 years in Spain.
