One came through is a feature film about the history of German air officer Franz von Werra. He was the only German who escaped from British captivity and returned to their homeland. The screenplay is based on the non-fiction book The One That Got Away by Kendal Burt and James Leasor from the year 1956.

Action

The film is based on a true story: The Battle of Britain is at its peak in 1940. The Messerschmitt Bf 109 by Franz von Werra shot down, he is captured and interned in an English POW camp Grizedale Hall. The subsequent interrogation can intimidate him, but does not prevent him to his one goal: escape. He flees twice, but is captured again and again. Then he is to be transferred to a prison camp in Canada. On the way, he manages to escape from his Gefangenentransportzug. He makes his way to the then neutral United States.

The trailer can be set to read the English text panels that he came from there to Central and South America back into the German Empire, where he was reinstated as a fighter pilot. In a routine flight over the North Sea he crashed due to engine failure. The aircraft and the remains of Werras never be found.

In the German off- comment the closing credits, the panels are only partially translated. The tragic fate of the pilot is thereby suppressed completely.
