Helmut Reisen

Helmut Reisen ( born July 20, 1950 in Viersen ) is a German economist. Travel was by September 2012 Director of Research at Development Center Development Center of the OECD in Paris. Since then, he operates a national economic and development policy consulting firm in Berlin. He is also Adjunct Professor of Economics at the University of Basel.

Life

In the nineties of the 20th century traveling became internationally known as an expert on issues of emerging markets, rating agencies and development finance. He is an architect and co-author of the first study OECD Perspectives on Global Development, which was published in 2010. A wider audience is Helmut Reisen known for his columns in the journal International Politics and policy in the European portal voxeu.org the Centre for Economic Policy Research, where he has made a name for itself as a thought leader on globalization, monetary system and development. Prof. Travel is a member of Society for Economic and Social Sciences ( Association for Social Policy), developing countries Committee.

The first shone for the first time April 26, 2010 the documentary film The African patient - healer from China, was instrumental in traveling as a scientific advisor and interviewee.

Since October 1, 2012 Travel operates a consulting company based in Berlin, which development ministries, development banks and foundations advises.
