Helmut Ringelmann

Helmut Ringelmann ( born September 4, 1926 in Munich, † February 20, 2011 in Green Forest) was a German film producer.

Life

Ringelmann completed after high school in Frankfurt an acting training with Martin Held. In 1949 he became assistant director at Heinz Hilpert. From the mid- 50s was Ringelmann manager and production manager, for example, in 1957 unit manager in Stanley Kubrick's Paths of Glory.

Ringelmann was managing at the beginning of the 60s producer of Intertel and began to develop and produce the first series for ZDF (eg The Criminal Museum and the fifth column ). In 1967 he founded his production company Neue Münchner television production and later the Tele Nova.

Among his most successful crime series produced include The Commissioner Erik Ode (1968-1976), with Horst Tappert Derrick (1974-1998) and since 1977 The Old ( beginning with Siegfried Lowitz, later with Rolf Schimpf, then with Walter Kreyenfeld and Now Jan - Gregor Kremp ).

From 1986 until his death he was married to actress Evelyn Opela. His final resting place is located on the forest cemetery Grünwald near Munich.
