Helpmates is an American slapstick film from 1932 with Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy. In German-speaking countries, the film also under the titles is we are sitting in the terminal, Helping hands, as well as engineers Floor When the mouse out of the house is known.

Action

Ollie gets up with an ice pack on his head before the mirror. He remembers the wild party that he celebrated the evening before and scolds himself But it gets worse: the postman brings a telegram that the return of his aggressive wife announces from a trip at noon. If this would see the dirty house, it would be a bad experience for Ollie. So ordered in a panic his friend Stan to be to clean up the devastated after the party house. Background

Helpmates was filmed in 1931 at the Hal Roach Studios in Culver City. In the U.S., the film was released in theaters in Germany, however, only on December 20, 1957 under the title When the mouse is out of the house, four months after the death of Oliver Hardy on January 23, 1932.

Stan Laurel are in the film to a telephone number, in fact it was at that time his real number.

The black-and-white film Helpmates was in 1984 the first of all the films of the comedy duo, of which a color version was created. When kolorisierten version however, there are some changes to the original version, so the black and white version is mostly still shown.
