Hemofarm a.d.

Hemofarm A.D. is a pharmaceutical company in Serbia. Hemofarm was founded in 1960 in the Serbian city of Vršac. 1982 opened a new department for the production of dialysis equipment with HemoMed. In 1990 the privatization of Hemofarm. Was founded in 1991 in Frankfurt am Main Hemopharm GmbH. 2000, the company opened a factory in China for infusions. Since 2002, Hemofarm is traded on the Belgrade Stock Exchange. On 9 August 2006, the German Stada pharmaceuticals was the majority owner of Hemofarm.

In 2007 the Group with 3,230 employees a profit of approximately € 40.5 million on a turnover of € 226.7 million.

Hemofarm was for many years a sponsor of the basketball team KK Hemofarm.
