Hen Ogledd
Yr Hen Ogledd is Welsh and means "The Old North". It describes the late antique British kingdoms in what is now northern England and southern Scotland in.
History
This arose after the departure of the Romans in 410 kingdoms had their heyday in the 5th and 6th centuries. The inhabitants of these kingdoms were called Gwyr y Gogledd or men from the north.
In the following years, these countries were either wiped out or incorporated by continual attacks of fishing from the 6th century in the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms of Bernicia and Deira. This, in turn, went up in the Kingdom of Northumbria in the subsequent period.
