Hendrik Dreekmann

Hendrik Dreekmann ( born January 29, 1975 in Bielefeld ) is a former German tennis player.

He played for Germany in the Davis Cup. In the tennis world ranking he reached in 1996 with number 39 its highest position. An ATP tournament he failed to win in his career. His biggest success was the quarter-finals at the French Open in 1994. Twice he was also in the final of an ATP tournament. In 1994 he was defeated Markus Zoecke in Sun City with 4:6, 1:6. In 1996, he lost in Basel with 5:7, 2:6, 0:6 against Pete Sampras.

After his injury-related career in late 1999, he opened an Italian restaurant in Bielefeld, he now however no longer operates. In 2002, he competed in the tournament in Halle a comeback attempt. Since 2005, he is married to the former long jumper Susen Tiedtke. Since the summer of 2008, the couple, who have two children together lives, separately. Dreekmann business is engaged in a sporting event travel agency.
