Henry Brandon, Baron Brandon of Oakbrook

Henry Vivian Brandon, Baron Brandon of Oakbrook PC, MC (* June 3, 1920, † 24 March 1999) was a British judge.

Life and career

He was educated at Winchester College and served as an officer after completing his studies in the British Army, where he was awarded the Military Cross. His work, he practiced as a licensed attorney in the Admiralty Division.

Brandon was a member of the Privy Council in 1978 and was 1978-1981 the youngest Lord Justice of Appeal of the 20th century. On September 24, 1981, he was appointed Lord of Appeal in Ordinary and Life Peer. He held the title Baron Brandon of Oakbrook, of Hammersmith in Greater London. In 1991 he resigned as Lord of Appeal.
