Henry Constable

Henry Constable ( * 1562 in England; † 1613 in Liège, Belgium), son of Sir Robert Constable, was an English poet.

Henry Constable was educated at Cambridge. After he converted to Roman Catholicism, he emigrated to Paris. There he worked for Catholic forces. In 1592 he published "Diana", a collection of sonnets. Other well-known works are " Diaphenia " and a version of " Venus and Adonis"

His style is described as passionate and colorful.
