Henry Kuttner

Henry Kuttner ( born April 7, 1915 in Los Angeles, California, † February 4, 1958 in Santa Monica, California ) was an American writer.

Kuttner wrote in his early years horror stories. In Pulp magazine Weird Tales, he published his first stories from 1936. Later Kuttner turned to on the advice of HP Lovecraft, whose pen pal he was the SF.

He was known at the time for his literary prose, but was also one of the very few who also wrote humorous. For example, the stories of the inventor Galloway Gallegher, who can only work drunk and when he's sober, no longer knows what the invention is good.

After his marriage to Catherine L. Moore in 1940, he co-wrote with her space opera and fantasy, but also mainstream narratives. Both their work spans the 1940s and 1950s. Most of her works were published under pseudonyms, mainly Lewis Padgett and Laurence O'Donnell.

Kuttner spent the mid-1950s to make his master's degree when he died suddenly of a heart attack in 1958.
