Henry Miers Elliot

Henry Miers Elliot (* 1808, † December 20, 1853 ) was a British colonial administrator in India and historian who wrote a history of the Muslim era in India, as it was reproduced by India's own historians. The first edition of this highly acclaimed work was published posthumously in 1867-1877 in eight volumes by John Dowson.
