Henry of Speyer

Henry called Henry of Speyer or Heinrich von Worms, († approx 990 ) from the House of the Salian was the eldest son of Otto of Worms ( † 1004), Duke of Carinthia, and the brother of Pope Gregory V ( reigned 996-999 ). But since he died before his father, the office of the Earl remained in Wormsgau, he held his only. He was buried in the cathedral of Worms.

Heinrich married Adelheid († May 19 probably 1039/1046 ), sister of Count Adalbert and Gerhard from the House of Matfriede that a second marriage to a Frankish Count - closed - possibly with Poppo (V.). She was buried in the collegiate church Öhringen.

Heinrich and Adelheid had two children, a younger daughter, Judith († 998 probably, but certainly before 30 April 1034), which was also buried in the cathedral of Worms, and an older son, Konrad (* probably 990; † 4 June 1039 in Utrecht ), which was in 1024 when Conrad II was elected German king in 1027 and crowned Emperor.
