Herbie Harper
Herbert " Herbie " Harper ( born July 2, 1920 in Salina, Kansas; † 21 January 2012) was an American jazz trombonist.
Herbie Harper played with Gene Krupa, Benny Goodman, Charlie Barnet and from 1947 as a studio musician in Los Angeles. There, he also led his own ensemble at times. Throughout his career, Harper took on plates with Ray Brown, Maynard Ferguson, Bob Florence, Fred Katz and Pete Rugolo and accompanied Billie Holiday.
