Herman IX, Margrave of Baden-Eberstein

Hermann IX. of Baden ( † April 13, 1353 ) was reigning Margrave of Baden and Mr. Eberstein to.

He was the son of Margrave Frederick II of Baden and his first wife Agnes of Weinberg ( † May 3, 1320 ). When his father's death in 1333, he joined his succession to Margrave.

In 1334 he delivered the Iburg to Rudolf IV of Baden († 1348 ). 1350 Hermann was re- invested by the Emperor Charles IV with the Iburg. Also in 1350 he bought back the village Mörsch from Herrenalb monastery after it had Rudolf sold on July 20, 1306 under the condition of the right of repurchase at the monastery.

He married before June 3, 1341 Matilde of Vaihingen († April 13, 1381? ). With her he had his son, Frederick IV, but who died before him, so that at Hermann's death in 1353 Rudolf VI. which succeeded him.
