Hermann Munk

Hermann Munk ( born February 3, 1839 in Poznan, † October 1, 1912 in Berlin) was a German physician.

Life and work

After his studies in Berlin and Göttingen, he received his doctorate in 1859 at the University of Berlin, received here in 1862 after postdoctoral appointment as a lecturer and in 1869 as an assistant professor of physiology. In 1876 he became a lecturer in Physiology and Head of the physiological laboratory at the Berlin School of Veterinary Medicine. In 1880 he was admitted as a full member of the Prussian Academy of Sciences and in 1897 was an ordinary honorary professor at the University of Berlin.
