Herschel McCoy
Herschel McCoy (* August 6, 1912; † February 3, 1956 in Los Angeles ) was an American costume designer.
Life
McCoy worked as a costume designer for various B-movies, including films from the Charlie Chan and Mr. Moto series, until he for Metro -Goldwyn -Mayer worked on major productions since 1951. For his work on the epic film Quo Vadis? McCoy in 1952 for an Academy Award in the category " Best Costume Design - Color " nominated. Two years later, another nomination, this time together with Helen Rose for the costumes of the film You and no other in the category " Best Costume Design - Black & White ". In February 1956 McCoy died suddenly at the age of 43 years.
