Hervenogi Unzola

Hervenogi Unzola (born 3 May 1992, Germany ) is a German footballer with Congolese roots, which is used in defense, primarily as a left-back. He has both nationalities.

Career

Association

Unzola began his career at the age of six in the youth of the Spvg Wesseling - Urfeld. In summer 2006, he moved to the youth department Bundesliga Bayer 04 Leverkusen. From 2007 to 2009 Unzola played seventeen games for the B- youth of Bayer 04 in the U-17 league. In summer 2009, he joined the A- youth of SCB Viktoria Köln, which had risen in the U-19 league. In the first half of the 2009/10 season he played thirteen matches and has scored two goals. He then moved on to the A- youth of Borussia Dortmund in early 2010. By the summer of 2011 Unzola completed 36 games in the U-19 Bundesliga and scored three goals. Even in the winter break of the season 2010/11 he completed a training camp with the second team from the BVB in Turkey. On 28 May 2011, the final day of the Regionalliga 2010/11 season, Unzola came in the away match against Borussia Mönchengladbach II (1-2) to its first use for the second team when he brought on in the 61st minute for Onur cenik been. From the season 2011/12 he was then officially became the second team squad, but was able to fight for a regular place. In the summer of 2012, he went with the team on the 3rd league. On 20 October 2012, the 14th matchday of the 2012/13 season, he came on his debut in professional football when he came off the bench in the away match against SV Darmstadt 98 (2:1) in 72 minutes for Admir Terzić. After only two brief appearances in the league, he was top 3 January 2013 painted by coach David Wagner from the squad and could be looking for a new club. In mid-January 2013, Borussia Dortmund announced that Unzola will continue to be active for the second team by the summer break 2013. Reason for the change of mind was the departure of Chris Lion of the first team for the first FC Kaiserslautern, whereby the strain of the second team defender Marcel Halstenberg aufrückte to the pros and the second team was looking for an alternative for the position of left-back. This was found in Unzola.

Unzola played from December 2009 to April 2010 for the German U-18 national team. He completed seven internationals.
