The airfield Herzogenaurach is a classified as a commercial airfield airfield about two kilometers north of Herzogenaurach.

History

The association Aero-Club Herzogenaurach eV, founded in 1951, in 1960 from seeking a suitable site for an airfield. They found this in a plot about half a kilometer north of the city limits of Herzogenaurach. In the fall of 1961, a 700 meter long grass runway was taken by the authorities, but which was officially inaugurated on 14 October 1962. 1970, the airfield was expanded to the airfield. In the course of the track was paved, which was opened on 28 June 1970.
