Heti Válasz ( " Weekly Answer ") is a right-wing conservative, pro-government, Hungarian weekly.

History

The newspaper was founded in 2001 by the center-right government of Viktor Orbán, as an alternative to the post-communist newspapers. In the first years practiced István Elek, a green essayist and former member of parliament of the conservative Hungarian Democratic Forum, a strong influence on the editorial staff. In 2004, the sheet almost broke, but was taken over by other businesses, however, do not want to interfere in the editorial life. Under István Elek, the tide understood as ecologically and conservative.

Today's situation

The profile of the newspaper has changed a lot since retiring from István Elek. The newspaper distanced himself from the Fidesz party, which was formerly the founder and entered his own way.
