Heves County

The Heves [ hɛvɛʃ ] ( German: Hewesch ) is a county (administrative district ) in Northern Hungary. It borders the counties Nógrád, Borsod -Abaúj -Zemplén, Jasz -Nagykun -Szolnok and Pest. It has an area of ​​3637 km ² and 325 132 inhabitants ( 2001). The county seat is Eger ( Eger ), other major cities are Heves, Gyöngyös and Hatvan.

Geography
