Hewson Consultants

Hewson Consultants was a small British computer game company that was known for their complex and graphically intense computer games in the 1980s. The company's headquarters was located by the end of 1983 in Wallingford ( Oxfordshire ). Then they moved for reasons of space to Milton near Abingdon ( Oxfordshire ).

History

Hewson Consultants was founded by Andrew Hewson 1984. He became interested in computers while he worked at the British Museum, where the first home computers were set up. After he had learned how to program, he wrote a book entitled " Hints and Tips for the ZX Spectrum ." After the book was published, many hobbyists sent him their programs and games. This brought Hewson on the idea to publish the programs. The company was founded Hewson Consultants and sales programs as a mail order or through advertisements in relevant magazines.

The company Hewson Consultants was closed in 1991.
