Heysham is a coastal village near Lancaster in Lancashire in northern England. The village lies on the Morecambe Bay and is part of the City of Lancaster.

Heysham is divided into three administrative regions: Heysham Central ( with 4,397 inhabitants ), Heysham North ( with 5,477 inhabitants ) and Heysham South ( with 6,262 inhabitants ) ( All figures 2001). The place Heysham itself has about 6500 inhabitants.

Heysham has a ferry port with ties to the Isle of Man, Ireland and the natural gas rig in the eastern Irish Sea and Morecambe Bay maintains. And situated directly on the coast Heysham nuclear power plant is also in the city. In Heysham there is also a substation, via which the two offshore wind farms Ormonde and Barrow and the first construction phase of the wind farm Walney feed their electricity into the public grid.
