Hiaure

Hiaure ( Frisian: De Lytse Jouwer ) is a small village in the municipality Dongeradeel in the Dutch province of Friesland. It is located northwest of Dokkum and has 80 inhabitants (2008 ). The village is surrounded by pastures and one has a clear view of the surroundings.

Hiaure is believed to have originated on a mound around the year 1000. The inhabitants of Hiaure feel especially connected with the people of Hantum, Hantumeruitburen and Hantumhuizen and are therefore often called the 4H.
