Hidehiko Yuzaki

Hidehiko Yuzaki (Japanese汤 崎 英 彦, Yuzaki Hidehiko; born October 4, 1965 at Saeki -ku, Hiroshima, Hiroshima Prefecture) is a Japanese politician and since November 2009 non-partisan Governor of Hiroshima.

Life

Yuzaki in 1990 after completing his studies at the Law Faculty of the University of Tokyo official in the MITI. There, he worked in the nuclear energy department of the Ministry of raw materials and energy ( Shigen - enerugī -chō ) and in the Americas Department. During his time in the ministry, he earned an MBA in 1995 from Stanford University. In 2000, he left the ministry and joined as Member of the Board from 2005 JASDAQ - listed communications company KK ACCA Networks in the private sector. In 2008 he left the company and founded a consultancy office.

In summer 2009, the long-time governor of Hiroshima Yuzan Fujita announced, not to stand in the elections in November 2009. With the support of individual members of the Prefecture of Parliament from the Liberal Democratic Party ( LDP), which had supported Fujita, Yuzaki declared his candidacy. Most important competitor was Anri Kawai, herself a former Member of the Parliament of Hiroshima, which was supported by opponents Fujita from the LDP. Main theme of the campaign was initiated by Fujita management reforms and the prefecture of Finance. Yuzaki was the gubernatorial election clearly decide for November 8, 2009 with 395 638 votes against Kawai ( 195 623 ) and three other candidates. His term began on November 29, 2009.
