Hidetoshi Nakata

Hidetoshi Nakata (Japanese Hidetoshi Nakata中田英寿; born January 22, 1977 in Kofu ) is a former Japanese football player.

Career

Nakata changed since the first Japanese Kazuyoshi Miura 1994 in 1998 in the Italian Serie A for AC Perugia and made with this change in his home country for euphoria. In January 2000, Nakata went for a transfer fee of the equivalent of 30 million DM for AS Roma, but could not prevail there. After four more transfers he was loaned in August 2005 to the English club Bolton Wanderers until the end of the season. After the 2006 World Cup he finished suddenly at the age of only 29 years of his career. At the time he had completed a total of 77 international matches since 21 May 1997, scored eleven goals in the process.

Nakata is also called the " Beckham of Japan " and has numerous endorsement deals and also has its own TV show, which also earned him great popularity in Japan for non- football fans.

Nakata was in 1997 and 1998 Asian Player of the Year, won in 2001 with the club AS Roma, the Italian Cup and 2002 the Italian Cup ( Coppa Italia ) and is one of the FIFA 100.
