Hieronymus Cock

Jérôme Hieronymus Cock ( * ca 1510, † 1570 ) was a Dutch publisher.

Cock, who is considered one of the most important publisher of stitches in the 16th century, was also active even as a painter and engraver.

Pieter Bruegel the Elder completed his apprenticeship with Cock, who spread the drawings Bruegel by having them published as engraving reproductions.
