High-Speed Sea Service

High-speed Sea Service (HSS ) is the name of originally developed for Stena Line fast ferry, which from 1994 until it was ordered 6 units, 2 type HSS 900 and HSS 1500 Type 4, which were built from 1994 to 1998. All HSS 1500 ferries were built at Aker Yards Finland in Rauma, Finland. The HSS 900 ferries were built at Westermoen Hydrofoil in Norway, which went bankrupt in 1997. HSS 1500 means capacity for 1,500 passengers. HSS 900 means capacity for 900 passengers.
