The M 09 is a 62.5 km long Ukrainian highway. It runs from Lviv in a northwesterly direction to the Polish border at Belzec. Your continued on the Polish side is the DK17 (or the planned expressway S17), which further leads to Warsaw.

History

This line was owned until 1918, the Austrian crown land Galicia and was referred to as Żółkiewer Reichsstrasse.

This road was 1919-1939 for the territory of the Second Polish Republic and was declared by the Polish Roads Act of 10 December 1920, State Street ( droga Państwowa ). As a direct road between Warsaw and Lvov they then had a high significance was lost after the demarcation of 1939.
