Hilderic of Spoleto

Hilderic (also Hilderic; † 740) was 739-740 dux of the Lombard Duchy of Spoleto.

Life

King Liutprand pulled 739 with an army to Spoleto, whose rebellious dux Transamund II fled to Rome. Liutprand sat in June 739 Hilderic as a dux. Details of Hilderics origin and domination are not known.

In December 740 Transamund returned, supported by troops from the ducats Rome and Benevento, Spoleto back and killed the Hilderic used by Liutprand.
