Hinako Takanaga

Hinako Takanaga (Japanese高永 ひなこ, Takanaga Hinako, born September 16, 19xx ) is a Japanese manga artist and illustrator. Her works are focused on homosexual relationships between men, and are therefore Shōnen- Ai or Yaoi manga. The main characters of their primarily directing to a female audience stories, often comedies are bishonen.

Biography

Takanaga began with ten years to draw. After working for some time at a mail order and attended a drawing school, she started her career in comics. She took part in a competition of Hakusensha publishing house and won a newcomer award. For this publisher she worked exclusively in the following period, and published her first work as a professional illustrator in 1996 with the first episode of the manga series, Kiss Me, Student!.

Since the setting of the manga magazine Manga Hanamaru in 1999, in the Takanaga in Hakusensha published their works, it records simultaneously for several publishers. Kiss Me, Student! was initially discontinued because of problems with Hakusensha and ended in 2004 after about 730 pages. The final volume was published shortly after the completion of the 450 pages of existing in three volumes manga Small butterfly, which was published from 2001 in the manga magazine in Gush Kaiōsha and focuses on the love story of a quiet fifteen year old with a popular classmate. While Small butterfly strikes a more serious tone, is Kiss Me, Student! comedic. This is a naive student and an employee fall in love, their happiness is disturbed by the choleric older brother of the student who has a fatal homophobia, until he finally fell into a self- colleagues at his university.

Since 2004, some works of the author in Kaiōsha be reissued. However, it also worked for, among others, Biblos, Kadokawa Shoten and Gentōsha. Currently Takanaga pencils lover tyrant and other manga for magazines such as Gush and Asuka Ciel.

TOKYOPOP moved from August 2005 Small butterfly on German. Since the manga turned out to be successful, the publisher also published Kiss Me, Student!, Lover tyrant, Made in Osaka, sketches of love and Traumboyz and novels, which Takanaga customized the cover illustrations. The publisher took the illustrator 2007 Leipzig Book Fair in Germany.
