Hindås

Hindås is a place ( tätort ) in the Swedish province of Västra Götaland County and the historic province of Västergötland. It is located east of Gothenburg in the community Härryda on the railway line between Gothenburg and Borås.

Hindås was formerly a famous winter resort. There are many Art Nouveau villas from the beginning of the 20th century, which were built as holiday homes for wealthy Gothenburg. The church is built in this style.

Kurt Tucholsky hired in 1929 in the Villa Hindås " Nedsjölund " at, where he lived from 1930 until his death in 1935.
