Hintere Schöntaufspitze

The Rear Schöntaufspitze is a mountain in Solda South Tyrol. It reaches a height of 3325 m s.l.m..

The completely ice-free peak structure which can be reached via a short detour from the labeled to Madritschjoch way, makes the rear Schöntaufspitze to one of the higher " walking summit " of the Eastern Alps.

From the Rifugio Citta ( 2601 m), which is located nearby the mountain station of the cable cars Solda, the climb takes about two hours. From the end of the road in the rear Martelltal you reach the rear Schöntaufspitze in just under three hours.

From the top you have a view on King peak, Monte Zebrù and Ortler and the Cevedalemassiv and the surrounding mountains about Solda and the Martell Valley.
