Hiroyuki Nagahama

Hiroyuki Nagahama (Japanese长 浜 博 行, Nagahama Hiroyuki; born October 20, 1958 in Sumida, Tokyo ) is a Japanese politician of the Democratic Party ( Noda group), Senator for Chiba and was from October to December 2012 Environment Minister in the government of Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda.

Nagahama studied at the Faculty of Political Science and Economics from Waseda University, and then attended the Matsushita Institute of Politics and Economics ( Matsushita Seikei Juku ). After that, he was employed in the private sector (including for Bandai, Itochu Shoji ), later he headed the Tokyo office of the Matsushita Institute. In 1992 he participated in the founding of the New Japan Party, for which he moved in with the 4 House of Representatives elections, 1993 Five mandate constituency Chiba into parliament. In 1994 he became a member of the New Progressive Party.

After the election reform Nagahama was voted in the 1996 election in Einmandatwahlkreis Chiba 8.
