Hirschsprung's is a district of Altenberg in the Erzgebirge in the south of Saxony.

Geography

Hirschsprung's is located about 37 km south of Dresden in the upper Erzgebirge. The site is adjacent to Altenberg and bears stone. Furthermore borders Hirschsprung at Geising and Falk grove.

History

Foundation

In a Altenbergerstraße transcript from 1589 the area is known as the Hirschbrun. 1747 will be the place of Meissner also Hartwell, as already called Hirschsprung. The place name has been reinterpreted and originally referred to the Hirschquelle. Settled was the place with the forestry house homestead. It is believed that the local founder of one of the lords of Amber was. 1793 the first house next to the manor, which included the grist mill ( Ladenmühle ) and board mill was built. Other houses followed in the 19th century. The community consisted of three board mills. In 1600 the local situation, according to Meissner comprised 32 Bazaars and 3 tunnels.
