Histrionicotoxin

The Histrionicotoxine are a group of chemically related substances, which in the skin of poison dart frogs, mainly Oophaga histrionica, occur. Histrionicotoxine are potent antagonists of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor.

From a chemical point of view, these substances are interesting by the terminal alkyne groups.
