The HMS Smyge is an experimental ship of the Swedish Navy. It was built predominantly designed to test the stealth technology. Findings from experiments with this ship flowed mainly into the planning of the Visby class. To achieve high speeds and to further reduce the signature also the SES concept was implemented that reduces the depth by forming a cushion of air generated by the lift fan.
