HMS Valiant was the lead ship of the Valiant class, and the second British nuclear submarine.

History

HMS Valiant was laid on January 22, 1962 Kiel. The construction was carried out at Vickers - Armstrong. The launch took place on December 3. In 1963. Went into service three years later, on July 18, 1966. Construction of the Valiant had cost 25.3 million British pounds. 1967 drove the HMS Valiant in 28 days under water from Singapore to England. In the years 1970, 1977 and 1989 were carried out conversions and Harpoon missiles were retrofitted. In 1982, the HMS Valiant part in the Falklands War.
