The Victoria and Albert was like their predecessors yacht a steam-powered yacht with side paddle wheels. She had an overall length of 120 meters (360 feet). The launch took place on 16 January 1855. Their service as State Royal Yacht for the ruling monarch lasted from 1855 until 1900. The ship was the Royal Navy assumed and was operated by her. The Victoria and Albert was with a displacement of 2,470 tons, more than twice as large as the old state yacht. She reached with her paddle wheels, a maximum cruise speed of 15 knots. The team's strength was 240 men.

Victoria and Albert was scrapped after the end of their service life in 1904.
