Hobotalk

Hobotalk is a Scottish folk rock band around singer-songwriter Marc Pilley.

Band History

Pilley, who had started out as a drummer began in 1989 to write his own songs. Together with guitarist Ross Edmond, bassist Al Denholm and drummer Ian Bruce, he founded in the late 1990s Hobotalk. Published in 1999 Hobotalk their debut EP Pictures of Romance on Hut Records. After the release, the group played as the opening act of Gomez in Scotland. The debut album Beauty in Madness appeared 2000. 2002 the band parted from Hut Records. Only in 2005 the second album Notes on Sunset was released on Circular Records in the United Kingdom and Glitterhouse Records in Europe.
