Hochschule Hannover

The Hochschule Hannover ( HsH ) is a public university in Lower Saxony. In Hanover, is basically divided into four locations (main campus on Ricklinger Stadtweg in Hannover- Linden ⊙ 52.3536119.724167, EXPO - Plaza ⊙ 52.320669.81677, Blumhardtstraße in Hannover- Kleefeld ⊙ 52.372859.80538 and Heisterbergallee in Hannover- Ahlem ⊙ 52.379349. 67266 ).

The HsH has about 7,750 students enrolled and a total of some 620 professors and staff.

On 8 June 2010 the college was renamed due to a change in legislation in Hannover.

History

The merger of various predecessor institutions arose on 1 August 1971, the Fachhochschule Hannover. Their Department of Visual Arts and Design went back to the Freye crafts school for apprentices by 1791. The Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering emerged from the founded in 1853 "Royal Hanoverian Baugewerkschule to Nienburg / Weser " and the departments of electrical engineering and mechanical engineering emerged from a school founded in 1892.

On 1 September 2007, the Fachhochschule Hannover incorporated the previous Evangelische Fachhochschule Hannover as new Faculty V - Diakonia, health and social one with him. This had in turn developed from the formation of the deacon Stephen pin and the 1905 founded the Christian Social women's seminar.

The departments of Fine Arts and Architecture and Civil Engineering of Lower Saxony government were closed for the summer semester 2008 and winter semester 2008/ 2009 as part of university engineering concept ( HOK ).

By working with over 80 universities under the Erasmus program students and university staff have many opportunities to study, internship, making of dissertations and postgraduate studies in other European countries.
