Höckendorf is a district of the Saxon town of Klingenberg in the district of Saxon Switzerland & Eastern Ore Mountains.

Geography and transport

Höckendorf is located about 20 km southwest of the city of Dresden and about 10 km northwest of the city Dippoldiswalde, between Tharandter Forest and Erzgebirge. The B173 runs north and the B 170 east of the village. Southwest of Höckendorf is the dam Klingenberg.

History

In 1235 was the first documentary mention Höckendorfs.

On 1 January 1991 Obercunnersdorf was incorporated. Borlas followed on 1 January 1994, on 1 March 1994 gave Beerwalde and Ruppendorf with Paulshain their independence on.

On 31 December 2012, the merger of Pretzschendorf and Höckendorf carried to the church Klingenberg. Before the dissolution of the congregation consisted Höckendorf from the six districts Höckendorf ( with noble crown), Beerwalde, Borlas, Ruppendorf, Paulshain and Obercunnersdorf.
