Hofbräuhaus

The Hofbrauhaus Brewery in Munich (also: Hofbrauhaus Munich) is a state company ( business enterprises ) of Bavaria, with its headquarters in Munich -Riem ( Hofbrau Allee 1 ). She is also the owner of the restaurant operations Hofbräuhaus, Hofbräukeller and Hofbrau tent, all of which are leased.

History

The brewery was founded in 1589 and was originally housed in the Hofbräuhaus; William V, Duke of Bavaria, initiated its own brewery, because the beer had to be bought in the city of Munich for a lot of money and imported inter alia from Einbeck. From this royal connection, the authorization for continued use of the prefix yard in the company name and its holdings derives today. In 1852, King Maximilian II gave the Hofbräuhaus in the ownership of the Bavarian state. For lack of space at the old location of the brewing operation in 1896 moved to the interior of Wiener Straße in Haidhausen remodeling Hofbräuhaus for kosher restaurant. The Hofbräukeller in Haidhausen is the last witness this second plant. After the great fire in 1987, she is the brewery since 1988 in Munich- Riem at the Hofbrauhaus Avenue resident and producing annually about 300,000 hectoliters of beer.

Products

The brewery produces nine beers and exports its products to many countries worldwide.
