The Hohenkrähen ( " Krayen ") is a volcanic mountain north of singing in Hegau, located in the district of Konstanz in Baden- Württemberg, Germany.

Location

The mountain lies between the villages Duchtlingen, Schlattmann among crows and Mühlhausen on the boundary Duchtlingen. Since 1983, the mountain has been designated a " nature reserve Hohenkrähen ".

Height

History

Colonization

Through individual finds can be used for the Hohenkrähen a settlement since the Neolithic evidence. Romans and Alemanni used the mountain as a place of worship.

Between 1180-1190 the construction of the castle Hohenkrähen is dated - it was built by the Lords of Friedingen that were referred from 1191 with " de Craien ".
