Holger Simon Paulli

Holger Simon Paulli ( born February 22, 1810 in Copenhagen, † December 23, 1891 ibid ) was a Danish conductor and composer.

Paulli was a violin student of Claus Schall and became a member in 1864 conductor of the Royal Orchestra in Copenhagen. In addition, he also conducted the orchestra of Cecilia Foreningen and was a director of the newly established Copenhagen Conservatory since 1866. With performances of Lohengrin and Meistersinger, he acquired contributions to the dissemination of the works of Richard Wagner in Denmark.

Paulli composed an opera, thirteen ballet music, an overture, and violin pieces and songs.
