Holland is a village in Lucas County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,306 inhabitants at the census in 2000.

Geography and transport

The municipality is bounded on the north by Angola Road, Wexford in the south, from the Holloway Road to the west and by the ring-road of Toledo by the Interstate 475/US Highway 23 in the east. This bypass is directly adjacent to the industrial area of Holland.

A double-track line of the Norfolk Southern Railway operates approximately 90 trains per day through Holland. The first train passed already on 22 May 1852 by the community. At that time a railroad depot was south of the route on the Holloway Road built. Together with the Springfield Township plans to build a railway museum here Holland. A historic caboose has already been acquired.

History

Holland was founded in 1847 and 1923 independently. At the time, the place had 503 inhabitants.
