Holmes Reservation is a 26 acres ( 10.5 ha) large nature reserve in the immediate vicinity of the center of Plymouth, Massachusetts in the United States, which is administered by the organization The Trustees of Reservations.

Sanctuary

The protected area, which consists of not much more than an open and expansive grassy area, is located in the north of the center of the city of Plymouth just off the Massachusetts Route 3A. From there, you have a good look at the Plymouth Harbor, the beach Duxbury Beach, the island of Iceland and the gurnet Clark's Point. Also, the remains of the tracks of the Old Colony Railroad to see.

Prior to the American Revolutionary War the area was used as a sample space for farmers from the surrounding area.

The land was inherited in 1944 by the Trustees of the local family and is named Holmes to this day for her.
