Hölty-Preis

With the Hölty Prize for Poetry of the City and the Sparkasse Hannover Hannover City expressly adds to the to 2007 of their assigned Gerrit Engelke price.

With the new namesake Hölty the founders want to make its high artistic level to scale while maintaining the connection to the region. In addition, it should thus " give significant price, which is specified on the literary genre of poetry " another (quoted by Council Decision ). Accordingly, the doping was increased significantly to 20,000 euros, which is supported by the Sparkasse Hannover as in Engelke price. The award is presented every two years.

2008 was the independent jury of Cornelia Jentzsch, Kathrin Dittmer, Michael Brown, Michael Krüger and Martin Rector.
